Inspections of recreational vessels, servicing, and registration processing
Československý Lloyd conducts inspections of recreational vessels and offers registration processing without your presence.
Based on recognition by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and Croatia, we issue registration cards for vessels (usually inflatable boats with outboard motors). These cards are required by Croatian authorities for sailing in coastal waters. The fee for issuing a registration card for a recreational vessel is CZK 700.
For operation on inland waterways or coastal navigation within 0.75 nautical miles from shore, registration with the State Navigation Administration is sufficient. For vessel registration with the State Navigation Administration, a CE mark is required. If you need to obtain a CE mark for your vessel, we will assist you in acquiring it.
Technical supervision and inspections of marine yachts up to 24 metres in length.
“A marine yacht is a marine vessel between 2.5 metres and 24 metres in hull length, equipped with sails, a motor, or both, intended for maritime navigation.”
CS Lloyd is authorised by the maritime authorities of the Czech Republic and Slovakia to carry out technical supervision and inspections of marine yachts up to 24 metres in length.
If the vessel meets the technical requirements for construction and equipment, it can be registered under the Czech or Slovak flag. If the yacht is abroad, we will handle its registration without the need for your personal visit to the Maritime Office.
The inspection certificate from the yacht’s technical inspection is valid for 5 years for both Czechia and Slovakia. Should you subsequently decide to sell the yacht, this certificate is internationally recognised by many other authorities. Therefore, the buyer is not required to undergo a new inspection upon sale. Details here.
The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) requires sea-going yachts and seagoing vessels to carry out inspections to verify compliance with the requirements set out in this Convention. CS Lloyd carries out the relevant inspections and issues certificates. Inspections according to MARPOL Part IV (wastewater disposal) apply to vessels with a tonnage of 400 GT or more or with a capacity of 15 people or more. Inspections under MARPOL Part V (removal of garbage) apply to all seagoing vessels. Vessels with a carrying capacity of 400 GT or more or a capacity of 15 people or more must be equipped with a Garbage Handling Plan and a Garbage Handling Book. The waste management plan must be approved by the inspection organization and must contain the required information. The waste management book must be submitted to the port authority or other authorized person for inspection upon request. In the event of detection of deficiencies on vessels in connection with the requirements of the MARPOL convention, the competent authorities are authorized to detain the vessel until the identified defects are eliminated. CS Lloyd is ready to assist vessel operators in processing the required documents and implementing the above regulations.
We offer a wide range of services from inspections in the maritime industry, engineering production, and welding to packaging tests for the transport of dangerous goods.
